Future is an abstract idea. The first question which comes to the mind is which future is it? The individual's, the country's, the humanity as a whole, the planet earth or the universe in its entirety.

To someone who says ofcourse it's my future I am interested in, it's really a very old problem. THis problem is as old as the human mind, as old as thought. If one believes in evolution of humans, then the problem has started with the emergence of the species itself with its capacties to think, plan and project. Animals certainly dont think of the future, its a human capability. Somewherew down the road of evolution, when man moved to the caves from the grass lands, when he started planning for a rainy day, storing food, water and whatever means he used, the mental faculty of visuaizing the future may have evolved.
